Bump for a great cause. There are a lot of people in need in Florida right now after two hits and I believe more to come. The Red Cross always does a good job with relief and I hope many of you will go catch a movie and help out at the same time

For those outside Florida, you can go to the Red Cross website if you wish to donate for info. For the Salvation Army who is also doing a lot here I know the number is 1-800-SAL-ARMY

Thanks zinnia11 for your post

Went through the registration process but get the following notice at the end . . . .

For your security and protection, eBay requires your explicit consent before we will transfer any eBay transaction information to third parties.

eBay strongly encourages you to read EarthLink, Inc.’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy as their use of your eBay transaction information is controlled by those policies, and is not directly controlled by eBay.

I’d rather not share my transaction history with Earthlink and their 10,000 “affiliates” for just $5.

May be okay for some, but not worth the extra spam, etc. to me.

There are 2 – 2.8 prescotts, both an A version (533 fsb) and an E version (800fsb).

2.8A Prescott @ Newegg

2.8E Prescott @ Newegg

Maybe that will clear up the question (I totally understood prescott btw!)  Message edited by: CrazyGamer on 2004-09-08 09:32:17

Is that ad in today’s Chronicle? I thought they only had ads on Friday.

If so, I’ll grab one and try to pricematch the 200GB Maxtor at bestbuy. I can’t wait until they open up the new Fry’s down south here!

Thanks!

Matt

Okay, I found the ad in today’s Chronicle, back page of the Sports section.

It doesn’t specify any brand or model for the 200GB hard-drive…that’s going to cause some problems with BB pricematch, isn’t it?

Thanks,

Matt

“Great Quality” is actually made by ECS. I bought the $799 Centrino notebook by the same company over the weekend and so far I think it’s a fantastic deal.

Just bought the RAM at Fry’s in Phoenix (Thunderbird location) and the rebate is valid only on purchases on Sept. 8-9. When I got mine they had plenty in stock.

The rebate form says “Rebates mailed in after Spet 19, 2004 will be denied.”

Also the drive is on sale too, but not sure if any is in stock or not (didn’t check).

There is one other inconsistency about the ad for the RAM. In the San Diego paper, it states that the speed is 400MHz (for a PC2700). If someone brought this at the store, please tell us what you got.

Hmm, went to Atlanta Fry’s today and picked up P4 combo for $149+tax for my brother. It’s a 800Mhz FSB Prescott. Not a bad deal, consider that I picked up the same CPU 3months ago for $200.
