Vacation
I have just bought my tickets and am looking forward to traveling again. I will be visiting my uncle in England later this year.
I will take about a week’s worth of vacation for the trip. I also have my father visiting a bit earlier this year, so I will take 3-4 days of vacation for that too.
I should have 8-9 days, maybe some floating holidays, left for vacations from my workplace at that point.
It will give me ample room to work with for Pokémon Go community days and events, which I have been regularly taking off for vacation.
I got a notification this morning that one of my referrals had made their deposit on the MooMoo app.
So I got another stock card to exchange for stocks. It was another Groupon card, but it is worth $10 this time instead of the two $4 cards I got previously.
I will wait for Groupon to drop to $2.50 a share and then exchange my stock card for four shares.
If you’d like to try your luck at getting a good share, you can use my link for MooMoo.
Jacob Riis Park
During my visit to New York City and Brooklyn, I took a walk with my family at the beachfront of Jacob Riis Park. It was a foggy morning, and the surf was strong. Big ocean swells endlessly crash on the shoreline. It was quite refreshing.

Boarding
Took a bit of effort, really. By the time I was in my seat, it was already the scheduled departure time.

I got some nice shots of planes arriving and taxiing to the takeoff lanes. I find I am quite fond of planes.

It seems we are flying outside of the WiFi coverage area, so I won’t be able to upload this post until I land.
Even on Vacation
Fighting the good fight, as they say. Always nice to support a cause for good health.
I got the Pink Lemonade Vodka drink for a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign they were doing with Delta Air Lines.

A hard slog
The flight was listed as boarding at 10:45AM, and I got past security at 10:39AM, so I sort of fast-walked to the gate, which was on the very end of the terminal.
Upon arrival at my gate, I found people still disembarking the arriving flight. So I wound myself without need.

A Knish
My mother reminded me the previous day to pick up a knish for her. My host was able to find a familiar deli on Google Maps that sells the pastry.
The Mill Basin Deli. I purchased two knish’s a potato, and a pastrami.

Wednesday’s breakfast
Our host was kind enough to make blueberry pancakes this morning. I had some.

Breakfast, Monday.
It is the day of my flight.
I have packed my bag and stowed the bedding. My morning meal consists of NYS pumpkin pie made from all local ingredients and plain Greek yogurt (Chobani).
A cup of English Breakfast Tea (Bigelow).

A birthday
It turns out that the day I will be flying out is my host’s birthday. So this evening we had a nice celebratory meal since I will not be here to celebrate with them on the day.

We had corn and wheat tortillas with refried beans, Jack cheese, sliced tomatoes, finely chopped lettuce, various sauces, dips, guacamole, and some nice blue chips.
Fresh-caught Blackfish fillets poached in the steam convection oven.

Two beers were served with the meal: the Belgian White (Blue Moon) and an Ambar Cerveza (Dos Equis).
We bought a chocolate with her name on it, but after the meal, there was little room for dessert.
