Category Archives: Side Hustles

Common side hustles will often include work in the Gig Economy. These can be app-based services such as DoorDash, Uber, or GoPuff. Other options may be developing apps for Apple and Android devices, or creating eBooks and stationary to sell on Amazon. Further opportunities are available in closed-captioning work, AI prompt designer, completing surveys, playing games for cash, and In-Home Product Testing (iHUT).

My current portfolio

It’s been a while since I posted an update on the current holdings for my personal accounts. I think the last posting I did was an update to the company’s portfolio.

I have hopped around with different themes for my holdings from time to time. I was really bullish on cannabis and then solar stocks, and then later I got into IPOs. SPACs were pretty exciting for a period, though now all I see is red.

Throughout the rough seas of speculative trading, I have tried to maintain a Dividend portfolio as a hedge against potential losses. I also just like having some income on the side to go along with my Swagbucks earnings.

So my dividend stocks all pay monthly. I’ve got: $ARR, $PFLT, $ORC, $SLVO & $HGLB.

My speculative portfolio was doing great before the general downturn in the markets in March this year. SPACs seem to have taken a nose dive and the low offers I turned my nose at previously now seem like a lost opportunity.

So I’ve got Paysafe ($PSFE), Genius International ($GNUS), Virgin Acquisition Corp ($VGAC), Foley Trasimene Acquisition 2 ($WPF), Globalstar ($GSAT), Ocean Power Technologies ($OPTT), Nio ($NIO), Li Auto ($LI) and lastly Ark Space Explorer ($ARKX) which I am rather disappointed with as it skipped over many space companies that I am interested in.

The speculative shares equal one-third of my invested assets in the Sofi account at $6889. I also have a Webull account that is pure SPAC, all in the red valued at $2232 down 17.66% or $477.52.

My Robinhood account is valued at $2340 and has speculative shares mostly in solar/wind and cannabis. I use Firstrade to handle OTC Market and I am holding Clickstream ($CLIS), Sun Hydrogen ($HYSR), Intergrated Ventures ($INTV), and Terra Tech ($TRTC).

I also chase splits on Robinhood and recently made about $400 on Aviat Networks ($AVNW) which had a 2-for-1 split. The next target is Blue Ridge Bankshares ($BRBS) who have announced a 3 for 2 splits slated for April 30th.

Sunbasket part 2

My package has arrived. It was originally scheduled to be here yesterday but there was a delay. No biggie.

There are two meals included in the shipment. I decided to make the Tex-Mex chicken salad first since the meat had been in the hot box. There was lots of insulation and an ice pack in the box, but it still got warm.

The instruction manual made it all easy to do. I filmed the process. It took maybe 30 minutes including the time I spent bumbling about the kitchen and fumbling with my camera.

I’ll add the video once I get it edited into something more digestible 😂😂

Stock Split

Aviat Networks will be splitting 2 for 1 on April 7th. I had bought 20 shares for around 63 dollars a couple weeks back.

I saw the price rise up to 83 dollars per share and decided to bite the bullet. I sold my position for around $400 profit.

I like the way things are going for Aviat Networks and I expect to buy back some shares after the split.

I was tipped off to this stock by a YouTuber though I’ve since cleared my watch history so I can’t say whom it was. It was clogged up and I really only wanted cat videos and mukbang on there.

Spring Gallery

The weather has improved and I have found myself going out on the property more for walks. The birdsong is especially enjoyable these days. If you find an opportunity to go out please do and soak up the nice weather.

Sunbasket

So I decided to switch gears and take a break from the gaming offers on Swagbucks. I have signed up for Sunbasket. The offer earns 6000 SB for receiving 1 shipment in the first 20 days of subscription.

There is an American Express offer of spend 50 earn 20 dollar cashback. That should stack with this deal but I didn’t want to order that much food. I ended up spending 35 bucks using the PayPal cash I earned on Swagbucks.

My first order will arrive April 5th and I have set the subscription to monthly delivery to avoid any additional expenses before I cancel. So this should be a $25 money-maker for me. With the AMEX offer it could go up to a $30 return.

There are many food delivery services listed on Swagbucks. I expect I will be getting a lot more to spend in future. I recently hit Topaz rank on Swagbucks for earning $1000.

PODERcard

I got 766 SB from signing up for this new flavor of green dot card. It’s geared toward Hispanics and immigrants. The offer is simple you only have to sign up to get the points, no need to make any deposit.

I didn’t see any kind of referral link in the app but you can head over to Swagbucks and hit OfferToro’s offerwall to get the deal. They have it on a 2x special right now. I didn’t see any mention of it on Doctor of Credit so there is likely no better offer for the card at this time.

It is credited within 10 minutes of completion of the signup.

New Health Regimen

I recently visited my doctor and was informed that my cholesterol is sky-high and I likely need to go on medication. I had previously been told this when visiting a CVS Minute Clinic, but I was hopeful that since then I had been able to lower my numbers.

I’ve been given 3 months to get my numbers in proper order, otherwise, I will be put on medication. So I went ahead and bought some Herbal supplements that should aid me in my quest. I’ve eliminated all meat from my diet except for salmon which has those nice Omega-3’s.

My meals each day are highly regimented. Breakfast is oatmeal, and lunch is a Slimfast mixed into a protein smoothie. Dinner is rice, vegetables, and salmon. The salmon is canned which is nice and cheap though I may occasionally have something more fresh from the grocery store if it is on sale.

There are 4 pills that I take either each morning or mixed into my lunchtime Slimfast smoothie. I bought them on Amazon using gift cards that earned on Swagbucks. So I didn’t really spend any real money on these which is nice. I also got the Slimfast on a monthly subscription which got me a juicy 45% discount on the orders.
