Potion Hut Mini-Game Guide
The Potion Hut is a color-sorting challenge within Puzzles and Chaos where the primary goal is to organize mixed liquids until each bottle contains only a single color.
Success in this mode relies heavily on spatial management and the strategic use of limited empty slots.
The game often employs randomized patterns.
This means the specific sequence of colors in your bottles might differ from another playerโs.
However, the difficulty spike at this stage usually involves a reduction in available empty bottles, forcing you to rotate colors through a single “spare” space to uncover hidden layers.

Core Mechanics and Rules
The game operates on a layer-based system where you can only move a color if the destination bottle has an empty slot or a matching color on top.
A major hurdle in higher levels is the presence of “mystery layers” marked with a question mark. These hidden colors are only revealed once the liquid above them has been moved.
Furthermore, the game utilizes a Vitality system, meaning every attempt or restart costs energy, making efficiency a priority.
Strategic Approach and Tactics
A highly effective strategy involves using your first attempt as a reconnaissance mission.
Since mystery colors are fixed once a level generates, you can play until you reveal the hidden layers, record their positions, and then restart the level with a complete “map” of the bottles.
This allows you to plan your moves from the very first drop without wasting space.
If you find yourself stuck, you can use the process of elimination. By counting the layers of known colors, you can often deduce what the mystery colors must be before they are even revealed.
For those facing extreme difficulty, players frequently use external sorting solvers by inputting their specific color layout to generate a mathematical path to victory.
Level 7
In certain versions of Level 7, a successful opening involves moving Yellow from the first bottle into a spare bottle to create immediate movement.
You then consolidate Orange from the third and seventh bottles back into the first. Following this, Blue is moved from the second bottle to the seventh, and Turquoise is shifted into the second.
This chain reaction eventually frees up enough space to complete the Blue bottle entirely, which provides the necessary breathing room to sort the remaining Pink, Green, and White liquids.
Conquest of Lords
The Conquest of Lords is a cross-realm battle held every two weeks. The expedition lasts for 24 hours, and the primary objective is to occupy the Hall of Might.
- Winning Condition: A Lord and their Alliance win by continuously occupying the Hall of Might for 8 hours. If no one achieves this by the end of the 24-hour period, the Alliance with the longest cumulative occupation time is declared the winner.
- Teleportation: During the event, Lords can teleport to other Realms to participate in battles.
๐ฐ Key Mechanics
- The Spire & Hall of Might: If the Hall of Might and the Spire are held by different Alliances, the Spire will continuously fire on the Hall, causing substantial damage and direct troop deaths (even if War Protection is active).
- War Protection: Special protection opens if the Lord of a Realm occupies an enemy’s Hall of Might while their own remains unoccupied, or if they successfully reclaim their own Hall from an invader.
- Garrison Buff: Occupying buildings for over 20 minutes grants a “Garrison Buff” once held for a total of 1 hour (requires at least 2 buildings to be occupied).
- Unit Counters: Note that unit counter effectiveness is weakened within the Hall of Might and Spires.
๐ Rewards & Colonization
Rewards are distributed based on individual performance (quests/points) and Realm ranking.
- Emperorโs Privileges: The winning Lord becomes the Emperor and can award “Emperorโs Award Chests.”
- Taxation: Colonized Realms must pay a daily portion of resources into the Treasury, which the Emperor and their Aide can allocate.
- Colonization Points: * 100 Points: For every Realm your Realm colonizes.
- 25 Points: If your Realm is neither colonized nor colonizes others.
- 0 Points: If your Realm is colonized.
๐ League & Divisions
Realms are split into divisions to ensure fair competition:
- Preparation Division: For newer Realms, where matchups are random and there is no overall points ranking.
- League Divisions: Established Realms are grouped by server age (e.g., League 1: Servers 1-36).
- Tournament Format: Each “season” consists of 4 rounds of round-robin matches where 9 Realms are grouped together. Rankings are determined by the colonization status at the end of these rounds.
โ ๏ธ Important Safety Note
- Troop Losses: Battles in the Hall of Might and Spires result in permanent troop deaths.
- Random Teleport: If your Castle is defeated while in an enemy Realm’s Enchanted Woodland, you will be forcibly sent back to a random location in your home Realm.
- Safe Zone: Lords located outside the Enchanted Woodland cannot be attacked or scouted by invaders from other Realms.
Alliance Trial
The Alliance Trial is a cooperative PvE event where Alliance members work together to deal as much damage as possible to a powerful Boss.
- Attempts: Players typically receive a set number of free challenge attempts daily during the event period.
- Objective: Accumulate individual and Alliance-wide damage to unlock milestone rewards and climb the rankings.
- Boss Mechanics: The Boss often has specific immunities (such as being immune to silence/control after certain rounds) and uses powerful skills that can wipe your team if not managed.
๐ก๏ธ Recommended Hero Lineups
Success in the Alliance Trial depends on “Rage Control” and “Defense Reduction” rather than raw power alone.
The “Meta” Support Core:
- Patty โ๏ธ: Essential for her ability to silence or block the Bossโs Rage, preventing them from using deadly ultimate skills.
- Anastasia โ๏ธ / Capos ๐ฅ: Used to accelerate your own teamโs Rage regeneration, ensuring your debuffers can fire their skills consistently.
- Sodoma ๐: Highly valued for depleting the enemy’s Rage and providing consistent crowd control.
Damage & Debuffers:
- Edith ๐: Frequently used to lower the Boss’s Defense, significantly increasing the damage of all subsequent hits.
- Norris / Kujo: Additional options for armor-breaking or raw damage output.
- Fiona / Saya: Good for applying lasting damage-over-time (DoT) effects.
๐ Strategic Tactics
- The Round 10/11 Threshold: Many players note that the Boss begins using devastating skills around Round 11. A common strategy is to ensure Patty or Sodoma has full Rage by Round 10 to “freeze” or silence the Boss before it can act.
- The Selantia “Bomb” Tactic: Some advanced players use Selantia. If she dies, she clears the board and deals massive damage. Pairing her with Anastasia (who can revive) allows this “death-trigger” damage to occur multiple times in one fight.
- Color Stacking: While stacking one color (e.g., all Light heroes) increases the damage of matching tiles, it makes you vulnerable to “bad boards” where your color doesn’t appear. Most top players recommend a balanced team focused on utility over color-stacking.
๐ Rewards
Rewards are typically divided into three categories:
- Individual Damage Rewards: Milestone chests earned as you hit specific damage targets (e.g., 1M, 5M, 10M damage).
- Alliance Progress Rewards: Rewards shared by the entire Alliance based on the total damage dealt by all members.
- Ranking Rewards: Competitive rewards sent via mail at the end of the event for the top-performing individuals and Alliances in the Realm. Common rewards include Hero Shards, Speedups, and Dragon EXP.
Lich Attack
The Lich Attack is a nation-wide event where the Lich King, leader of the undead, appears in the Enchanted Woodland. It requires the combined effort of all players within the nation to defeat him.
๐ Rules and Participation
- Requirement: Only Lords with a Main Castle level of 6 or above are eligible to participate.
- No Losses: Fighting the Lich King is safe; you will not lose any soldiers in the attack.
- Speed Buff: To ensure rapid participation, the marching speed for attacking the Lich King is increased to 10 times the original speed.
- Rewards: Every attack grants rewards based on the specific amount of damage you deal.
๐ Ranking Rewards
At the conclusion of the event, the top 50 Lords who dealt the most cumulative damage receive abundant rewards via mail:
| Rank | ๐งช EXP Potions | ๐ Lord EXP | ๐ซ Recruit Tickets |
| No. 1 | 150x (1,000 EXP) | 50x (100K) | 3x Deluxe |

๐ก Strategy Insight
Since there is no risk of losing troops, players should focus entirely on maximizing damage output.
- Deployment: Send your strongest march and hero combinations.
- Hero Synergy: Use heroes that provide large attack buffs or those that decrease the target’s defense to boost the efficiency of every hit.
- Consistency: Because marching speed is significantly boosted, try to cycle your attacks as quickly as possible during the event window to climb the damage leaderboard.
Elemental Seal
In the Elemental Seal, Lords must deploy heroes of specific elements and star levels to battle a boss.
