After our European trip, my father stayed in NY, where he moved in with his partner at her Flatbush apartment.
I visited NY twice, once after I sustained a workplace injury and needed time to recover, and another time to see my uncle (Brooklyn, NY), who was visiting from England.
During my first visit, I got to see Koreatown and eat BBQ, I visited Macy’s, and I rode the subway, visited parks by bicycle, walked on the beach, and went sailing.
My visit coincided with the arrival of my uncle from England. We had a good visit and got to see local venues including the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. The museum had two exhibit’s running, Black Freedom and Korean Art.
