Hades

Hades is an SSR+ Assassin who functions as the game’s premier Single-Target Nuke. While characters like Ifrit handle wave clearing, Hades is designed to delete high-value targets.

She is the engine behind the “Arcane Burst” meta, known for a “snowball” playstyle where she becomes more dangerous with every kill she secures.

Strategy

Key Abilities & Passive Effects

  • Soul Reaper (Overdrive): Hades delivers a massive single-target strike.
    • The Reset Mechanic: Her defining feature is that if her ultimate kills the target, the cooldown resets. This allows her to chain kills across the enemy backline in a single turn.
  • Clone Projection: Hades can summon clones of herself. These clones multiply her damage output and act as decoys.
  • Execute Passive: Her damage increases sharply against enemies with low HP.
  • Absorption Survival: She can ignore fatal damage by “absorbing” one of her clones and healing, making her surprisingly difficult to kill for an assassin.

Strategic Build Recommendations

  • Minimum Viable Investment:
    • 1-Pink Star: Necessary for her to survive long enough to reach her first ultimate. At lower levels, she is often too “squishy” to reach her snowball potential.
  • Recommended Investment:
    • Red Star / Diamond: Because she relies on securing the kill to reset her cooldown, her Attack and Crit stats must be high enough to guarantee a one-shot on enemy mages or healers.
  • Stat Focus:
    • Crit Damage & Attack: These are her most important stats. She needs to hit the “kill threshold” immediately.
    • Accuracy: Crucial for ensuring her ultimate isn’t dodged by high-evasion units like Oberonnie or Ares.
Team Synergies

Hades requires a team that can soften up targets or protect her while she picks off the weak.

  1. The “Arcane Burst Rush” Team:
    • Core Members: Hades + Athena + Ifrit.
    • Strategy: Athena pulls the enemy team together and tanks the initial hits. Ifrit provides wide AOE damage to lower the entire team’s HP. Hades then sweeps in to “mop up,” using her reset mechanic to kill each weakened unit one by one.
  2. The Boss-Killer Duo:
    • Core Members: Hades + Atanith.
    • Strategy: Atanith reduces the enemy’s defense and increases their energy costs. This gives Hades a window to focus down a boss or elite without being interrupted by an enemy ultimate.
  3. The Summoner/Distraction Comp:
    • Core Members: Hades + Cleopatra.
    • Strategy: Cleopatra’s mummies provide a chaotic frontline that distracts enemy target-lock, allowing Hades to safely summon her clones and ramp up her damage.
Community Tips

Hades vs. The Meta: There is a heated debate on Reddit about whether “Hades is buns” (useless) or “Top Dog.” Most veterans agree that she is SS-Tier for Bosses and Manual Play but can struggle in Auto-Battle if she targets a high-HP tank instead of a squishy backliner.

The “One-Shot” Rule: If your Hades isn’t securing the kill and resetting her cooldown, she is effectively useless. If you hit this wall, move your best Crit Damage gear to her or swap her out for a more consistent bruiser like Ares.

Reroll Value: New players are often told to aim for Hades because of her ability to “carry” the early game once her reset mechanic is unlocked.
