A birthday

It turns out that the day I will be flying out is my host’s birthday. So this evening we had a nice celebratory meal since I will not be here to celebrate with them on the day.

We had corn and wheat tortillas with refried beans, Jack cheese, sliced tomatoes, finely chopped lettuce, various sauces, dips, guacamole, and some nice blue chips.

Fresh-caught Blackfish fillets poached in the steam convection oven.

Two beers were served with the meal: the Belgian White (Blue Moon) and an Ambar Cerveza (Dos Equis).

We bought a chocolate with her name on it, but after the meal, there was little room for dessert.

Prospect Park

I fly home on Monday, so today will be a leisurely stroll. Prospect Park is the nearest option, so here I am.

My Uncle was with me today, and he chatted with some of the locals while we ate a light snack on the park benches.

I also visited Prospect Park the last time I was in Brooklyn for a visit, sometime around 2009. I recall couples were having their wedding photos taken at several locations throughout the park at that time.
