Game Strategy

The game runs top-down like similar games in the genre. Your town is located on a small island and you will use Ships to battle monsters, gather resources, and complete storyline missions.

Your ships will be crewed by pirates that you train at the Pub. You’ll need to make weapons for the pirates, and cannons for any ships you build as well as cannons for upgrades to your Gate (town wall).

You will be limited in the number of ships you can have in your harbor depending on the level of your Dock. Ships are built at the Shipyard and then launched into the port.

I wouldn’t suggest replacing your ships with higher-tier ones unless a mission objective requires it. You will get upgrade parchments later on that can be used with Gold to tier up your ships to Galleons.

Every day you can speed up any construction timer by 100 minutes, up to 10 times by watching a short 20-second advertisement.

You also get similar advertisement speedup options available when healing pirates, upgrading ships, crafting gear, and the Free Daily Rewards.

The daily rewards have 10 stages that will reward you with 100 Gold each on the first 9 and then 1,000 Gold on the last one for a total of 1,900 Gold each day.

Sink attacking ships at your Gate (Wall) to earn speed-up items

Gathering Resources vs Production at Island

The basic resources in the game are Food, Lumber, and Silver.

The silver mostly gets used to upgrade ships and gear until the later stages of the game.

I found gathering resources to be incredibly slow, the same can be said for Producing resources in your town. The skill boosts you get from leveling up barely make a difference in the speed.

If you look below, you can see that a level 10 Farm produces much more resources than the upgraded Lumber Mill and the Silver Mine.

I would suggest only building Farms. You can build a single Lumber Mill and Silver Mine to complete the corresponding missions.

You can handle most of your early game Food needs this way and then you only need to focus on Gathering Lumber from islands. You should get plenty of Silver from mission rewards and Events.

When your power level sparkles tap on it to get chests with loot

Monster Hunting

The best way I found to get resources was by using the Monster Hunting function.

You can send out your ships to hunt critters or merchant ships and you will get good rewards when you win. Better yet, you can turn on the Hunting Streak which sets your ships on auto-pilot, they will keep hunting monsters of a set level until you either run out of Stamina or use Auto-mode.

Some Events run weekly and require you to hunt monsters using Tacticians of set Elements like Fire or Wind. I received a chest with 100,000 Gold from this Event.

I was able to skip a couple levels with all the Gold I got.

Use stamina refills whenever you utilize the Auto-Hunt function

Alliances

Alliance: Your guild or clan will be able to help with speed-ups and boosts to gathering within the territory of the alliance fortress.

You will also receive Chests every time someone completes various tasks in the game or buys something from the Store. It’s also good to keep plunderers away if you are in an active Alliance.

VIP System

VIP: You will start the game at VIP level 1.

At the basic level, you get a 5-minute free speed-up to complete buildings. At level 2, this speed increases to 7 minutes. It’s not particularly appealing.

A good thing though is that you will get all of the Gold rewards from the previous tier that were unclaimed. So about 3,000 Gold, which can be very useful in the early game for upgrading your Castle.

In addition, you will be able to use the “Claim All” function on Alliance chests so that you are not tapping forever claiming them.

To reach VIP 2, you will need to acquire 50 VIP Points.

When I first checked my VIP level it said I had 30 Points accrued, although I couldn’t remember how I got the first 30 points.

You will get 45 Gems as part of the Tutorial which can be spent on a Shop item that gets you 10 VIP points.

Theoretically, this would mean that you would only need to spend $1 on a basic pack in the Shop to level up your VIP ranking.

For just a dollar you can raise your VIP level and get 3,000 gold

Evony TKR: 3 Gold Generals

This is a variation on the offer for “reaching 5 stars” in Evony: The King’s Return. This offer is considerably easier than the 5-star version and should not take as long to complete. There are two other versions: Obtain 1 Gold Equipment and Occupy a Purple Fortress for the first time.

The reward for completing the offer varies and I have seen $14, $40, and more recently $85 to do it. It is available on many offer walls including Adgem, OfferToro, and RevU. The time limits are typically 30 days to finish. You may find this with the highest offering reward on the SB Live app under “More Ways To Earn.”

Game Description

Evony: The King’s Return is a completely free-to-play game, however, there are some game items that can also be purchased for real money.

Administrate the cities in your Empire and use your leadership skills in managing resources and research improvements to gain strategic advantages.

Join a strong Alliance where you can make friends, and communicate in real-time via voice and text with auto-translations so you can improve strategies and win epic battles.

Offer Goals

Getting the Generals: There are 3 main ways to acquire a Gold tier general.

The Tavern: At Tavern level 17 you will gain access to recruiting Gold generals.

There is a small chance that a Gold tier general will be available in the Tavern, the chances improve the higher your Tavern level.

You can frequently refresh the Tavern using Gems to get a Gold general to show up. Remember to check the little box to warn if there is either an Orange or Historic General.

The Tavern refreshes every 4 hours for free. Keep sending your Generals out to farm Gem Mines so that you don’t run out of Gems.

Also, you can sell your unwanted Generals to get more Gold coins.

Great General Chest: At the Tavern option (Great General Chest), if you collect 30 pieces you can exchange them for a Gold tier general.

You get to open the chest every 2 days; or once a day if you reach 145 daily activity points. There is a small chance that you get a complete set of 30 from the chest.

Additionally from the “Daily Puzzle” you will get a single piece of Boudica every day; for 30 days, however, this won’t be fast enough for the offer terms.

Game Shop Packs: You can spend real money to purchase a pack from the store that includes a Gold tier general.

This will cut into your earnings on the offer but is an option if you want to speed through the offer.

Events & Challenges: By successfully completing Super Value Events you can earn a Gold tier general.

These typically require that you purchase Gems, so I wouldn’t advise doing them.

Fire and Glory

909 SB to reach level 21 Stronghold, I’ll give it a shot. I’ve done many like this before and mostly the resources needed dry up fast. Other times it’s the speedup items you run out of as buildings take 1-2 weeks to finish.

This may not work out, I’ve been on a bad streak with the game offers lately. I failed Pirate King and one of the slot machine offers. The lowest cost item to buy here is 5 bucks which isn’t worth it in my opinion for a 9-dollar offer.

You just get the one Hero and they can be captured at Fort level 15 and then executed at level 20. So the important thing is to not send your hero out to gather resources.

I was looking at the in-game chat and these guys were joking that one of the other Alliances had spent thousands of dollars on the game. There are regular events in the game and one of the events is called “Raise Funds.”

For every dollar spent you get 1 point, at 200 points you get the first reward of an 8-hour peace shield.

You can see the rankings on the event page, so with a little math involved you can see just how much individual players are spending on the game. My own alliance looks to have spent a little over $1,000 as of this posting.

The smallest package in the game is $4.99 which is out of my price range, especially with the reward only being $9 to play.

I’ve put all of my stat points into boosting the Heroes attack bonus. I’ve similarly focused my Research on the Hero panel improving critical hit rate and attack combos.

The goal is to be able to one-hit the Monsters on the world map. I am saving up all my crafting materials in order to get a Blue (Elite) or higher piece of gear.

You run out of Rubble (Stone) quite fast and it is needed for all of the starting buildings. I ended up spending all of my Gold buying resources to rush to Fort Level 13.

I saved and spent all of my Alliance Loyalty credit on getting the VIP points. My VIP level is currently 4th Rank and I may get it to 5th before spending the rest of my points on Hero EXP items.

Rise of Kingdoms

This offer took 14 days to complete. I had Google Play credits from doing Google Opinion Surveys. I used a dollar to get the special starter Japanese hero (Sanada Yukimura) and some boosts.

I’m actually watching a show about Sanada Yukimura currently, so this is kind of cool.

The tutorial gets you through basic movement around the map and the construction of your city center. Make sure you join an active alliance and preferably one that is not combat-focused.

Those Help requests will really do you good on the construction timers. For starting Nation, you should take France and then later on switch to China.

Things went well till maybe the 10th day, when this fool leading our alliance decided to attack the biggest alliance on the map.

I had seen them destroy another team earlier from a public posting. They had over 3 million troops split among 6 alliances.

Anyways, he woke the sleeping beast, and we got overrun. I teleported away and quit the group; I went solo to finish my mission.

In other news, I did some debit card deals with Varo and Aspiration, and those got me up to Amethyst rank at Swagbucks. So I’ve made over $100 in points to date.
