Living in and Exploring NC

I arrived in NC on a chilly October evening. I had flown in from NY after finishing a European trip with my father.

I had considered moving back to Washington after finishing my schooling in Oregon, but I didn’t have any family members still living there, so I thought it would be easier to settle down in NC with my relations.

I had difficulty finding work at the time as i was without a driver license. Eventually I got a job at a Kerr Drug Pharmacy in a neighboring town. I bought a bicycle and rode to work most days. 10 miles there and 10 back. It was quite the workout.

After quitting the following year, I spent some time unemployed before joining my father on a sailing trip down the ICW. Upon my return to NC from Florida, I landed a job at CVS Pharmacy and continued working there for nearly 12 years. I had to take a year off after sustaining a back injury.

In 2021, I resigned and enrolled in the local community college under their Business Administration degree program. After graduating in 2024, I decided to take my sometimes hobby to the next level and became a full-time eBay reseller.

Raleigh, NC

This is such a large city that It will take some time to write and photograph it, so this post will likely grow over time. North Raleigh My regular commute to source goods for my eBay shop takes me to North Raleigh every Wednesday. I shop at the Treasure Hunt Liquidators Bin Megastore on Capital…

Wilton, NC

I came across Wilton while checking prices on Zillow for houses and land. When I checked the map, Wilton didn’t show up right away, so I had to futz with the zoom to get the name to show.

State Farmers Market, NC

An unexpected journey today. I volunteered to return an extra turkey that had been mistakenly packed in with my mother’s regular delivery route.

Franklinton, NC

I passed through Franklinton on my way to Wilton and Creedmoor. I took Cedar Creek road, northward, and turned at Lane Store Road.

I hadn’t been down Cedar Creek since I worked at Kerr Drug back in 08′. There was so much development along the way that I hardly recognized the area.

Creedmoor, NC

Creedmoor is a city in Granville County.

There are several small local restaurants in town covering a significant number of cuisines. I saw Cajun, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, American, and Italian.
