Pets CSN

In Crystal Saga: Nova, Pets serve as companions that can be summoned to fight beside the player. You may freely swap between any pets you have in your collection. Different pets have varying skills and builds that may benefit you in a variety of interactions.

In the Pet menu panel, you can change the Pet’s name from the default. Some items may be used to alter the Maturity, Lifespan, Gender, and Loyalty of your pet.

Crystal Saga: Nova includes several pet types and races to choose from, including:

  • Support
  • Defense
  • Agile
  • Physical
  • Demon
  • Nature
  • Humanoid
  • Undead
  • Element

Depending on the Race of the Pet, it will have a natural counter that it is strong or weak against. You can view these details in the pet’s info panel.

Taming a Pet

On Monster Island, you may tame new pets to add to your collection.

There are multiple instances of Monster Island, each with higher levels of monsters available for taming.

Speak with the Vendor to purchase a taming scroll that matches the level of pet you want to capture.

Starter Pet

During the tutorial, at level 10, you can tame your first Pet. Your starter pet will be either a Bear or an Archer. Buy a level 10 scroll from the Vendor in town or the Island Vendor, then tap a nearby Bear or the Archers to the North of the field.

Below the monster name, you will see a hand icon labeled Tame. Just tap this button to attempt to capture the Bear.

Regular Pet

After the tutorial, at level 20, you will be directed back to Monster Island to capture a new, stronger pet with better Stats.

Besides the Bear Cub and Archer, there are two other pets available on the first instance of Monster Island. These are the Vulture (MATK) and Beach Crawler (PATK).

You may attempt to capture a glowing version, which is the morphed pet.

Mutant Crawler

I have not found any way to reset and refund Morph Crystals used on old Pets.

I strongly advise saving Morph Crystals until you get either an Angel, Demon, or other Pet with an evolutionary chain.

Common level 10 pets will have a single attack skill, while level 20 pets have 2 skills. The mutant variants of pets (sparkly) can have multiple skills upon capture.

The skills are randomly assigned based, partly, on the pet’s Type (i.e., a Support type may get a Healing ability).

Pet Stats

Pets gain stats automatically upon leveling up and receive bonus points for you to manually assign to STR, AGI, INT, and END.

Each level gained provides the pet with 3 attribute points to distribute freely. Depending on whether the pet’s primary attack is Magical or Physical, you will want to distribute some points into either Strength or Intelligence.

Level 80 is the current level cap for pets. At level 30, a pet may wear Gear. Powerful pet Gear may be crafted in the Synthesis panel in Inventory.

Endurance will increase the pet’s Health Points, while Agility improves its ability to dodge incoming attacks. A pet can occasionally earn bonus stat points when it levels up.

Morphing

Your Basic (Green) Pets can typically be morphed, once only. Premium (Blue) pets such as Baby Devil have multiple stages of evolution, which will require additional Morph events.

Morphing will reduce a pet’s current level by 10.

Alternatively, for Basic Pets, you may attempt to capture a wild Mutant Pet.

This is the upgraded version and will have better stats than the regular version.

Enhance

Pet Aptitude affects the growth of all the pet’s combat stats. The higher the Aptitude, the higher the attribute conversion rate.

Pet Stats: Affect PATK, MATK, DEF, and HP.

You may use Pet boost items to improve the overall stats of your Pet.

Fuse

At 80, a pet becomes eligible for Fusion.

Pet Skills

Each pet has starter skills, with higher-level pets starting with more skills. A pet may learn new skills from scrolls or by leveling up.

At levels 24, 45, and 80, additional skills become available. You can use extra skill slots to customize your pets’ abilities.

Some skills are active while others are passive. For example, some skills will increase the number of stat points your pet receives during level-up.

Pet Skill List by Type

This list includes standard skills you typically find on a captured pet and those skills all premium pets come with on acquisition. Some skills are randomly assigned during capture and are not specific to the pet.

Healing 1 is an activated ability with a 10-sec cooldown between uses. Does require combat to activate (not sure what triggers the use). Remains active after combat ends. Great for classes without self-healing abilities.

Pet Skill Scroll List

Use Skill Scrolls to increase a pet’s skill level.

Scroll NameEffect
Lethal 2
Devil Shot 2Single-target MATK Damage: 55%
Healing 1Activated by Combat: Restores Master’s HP based on Pet INT (Heal Rate 80%), 10-second cooldown between uses.
