Welcome to Crystal Saga: Nova Wiki. This page serves as a hub for several related posts and pages scattered around the site.

I am in the process of moving data over. The majority of guide content can be found here > CSN Guide.

Progress & Milestones

Starting from the tutorial, several functions will become available at set levels.

  • Fragarch: There is a quest objective necessary for this function to be used.
    • Prerequisite: Play Revenant’s Vault on Nightmare mode.
    • Defeat the Boss to earn 1 Ice Shard and 5 Shiny Souls (quest awards the 5th soul).
    • Speak with the King to complete this quest.

Daily Freebies in Crystal Saga: Nova

Sign-in Reward

R2Pass on desktop (depending on platform). This is a Green Dragon Coin for the monthly Slayer Wheel* event and a Sacred Gem 1 [Bound]. If you have the Pass active, the gem is Tier 3.

*Slayer is a recurring event; the board resets each month, and hitting milestones on spins will award additional coins. Some other events can coincide and synergize with the Slayer function.

Daily Log-In

A monthly chart includes awards for each day logged in and additional rewards for consecutive logins over the 30 days. This is found in the Perks menu.

Online Bonus

Set rewards can be claimed for staying online for 10 minutes, 30, 60, and 120 each day.

AFK Bonus

A large chunk of EXP can be claimed for any time spent offline. A free redemption is available each day at a rate of 0.5x. Additional redemptions will require items. Using an item will result in a multiplied reward of 1x, 2x, or 4x, depending on item rank.

Daily Deals

In the Privileges menu, there is a daily free item that can be claimed. A Green Dragon Coin and a 4x Offline EXP item.

Daily Limit

In the Shop menu, you will find a free Gold currency box each day.

Rank Pay

In your character attribute panel on the left side is Rank*. Each day you may claim a gold bar that can be used to receive an Event Token and some Coupons (scaled by rank).

*Rank may be upgraded using Honor, which is acquired by completing Guild quests each day. These can be found in the Guild panel menu. There are around 20 quests, some gated by character level. There must be other sources of Honor, since Rank does increase prior to unlocking Guilds at level 20.

Daily Quests

Completing daily activities will earn several set rewards. Most activities only require attempting, but not completing. You could enter and exit a Dungeon for a fast completion if short on time.

Watch Ads: (Mobile Only)

If you are playing Crystal Saga: Nova Mobile, you can tap the R2Games floating icon on the game screen to open an in-game browser. The browser displays in Portrait view (rotate your phone). At the top of the browser window is a Watch button for an Ad. The Ads are all for other games from the platform. You will earn 20 Crystals for each Ad watched. This can be done daily.

In addition to the Ads, at the bottom of the browser panel is a Log-In reward that is distributed via in-game mail. Just tap the Claim button to get the mail.

Calculating Stat Modifiers in Crystal Saga: Nova

I’ve been working on determining how player stats are calculated to find out the maximum values any stat like Dodge or Crit can have.

Both skills and gear can provide either a bonus to the percentage value or the point value of your stats. Agility also governs your Hit, Crit, and Dodge score.

Why it Matters

The purpose here is to determine whether it is better to equip gear with a flat % bonus or to equip gear with a high point value for a particular stat. It may be that higher point values overtake percentage gains, or vice versa.

Neither Mounts nor Wings provide a bonus to a player’s core stats: STR, INT, AGI, and END.

I ran tests on a level 31 Mage. I removed all gear, including Wings and Mount. My character’s base stats were as follows:

Core Stats

STR: 33AGI: 87INT: 129END: 43
HP: 3,216MP: 586PATK: 71MATK: 263
PDEF: 48 (0%)MDEF: 134 (0%)Hit: 61 (102.3%)Crit: 53 (4.9%)
Dodge: 72 (4.2%)Healing: 0

Equipping the Mount and Wings improved my HP, PATK, MATK, PDEF, MDEF, and Healing scores. As expected, there were no changes to my core stats.

The Gear

Next, I requipped any gear that did not directly or indirectly impact AGI, Dodge, Crit, or Hit. I added Armor, Necklace, and Bracelet. The remaining gear included some stat modifiers for the categories I wanted to test.

Note: Phantom Robe added AP DEF +1, but I could find no explanation for this stat.

My Math

Equipping the Artifact Mold (Orb) should add +5 to Hit and +147 to MATK. But I found that only MATK is added to the Attribute panel. My Hit score did not change after requipping the Orb. This is likely a bug.

I next requipped a Cabala Ring that adds 1% to Hit. This improvement was displayed in my Attribute panel. Total Hit rose to 103.3% after equipping the Ring. The Point value remains the same; only the percentage is modified.

My Shining Gauntlets* list a +12 to Hit. (These are part of the beginner gear set, which includes gloves, weapon, and armor. The remaining 4 pieces of the set do not appear to be collectable in-game.)

The Gauntlets did add 12 points, raising my Hit to 73 (103.9%). So, the 12 Points into Hit resulted in a 0.06% boost to the value.

Lastly, my Dreamwalker Boots (+4) add Dodge +15, Dodge +8, and Dodge +1%. Recalling from the chart above, my base score was Dodge: 72 (4.2%). With the boots equipped, Dodge is now 96 (6.9%).

The Dodge should actually be 95. I am guessing there are fractions not shown in the Attribute panel that lead to this mismatch.

We now have a 2.7% increase in the percentage value to account for. Our dodge has gone up 23 points and 1%, so let’s say 23 points is equal to a 1.7% increase in the value.

Now let’s determine what equation would result in our base 72 points equaling 4.2%. To find the whole number when a percentage of it is known, we can use the formula (Whole= Part/Percentage [as decimal]).

So, 4.2% = 4.2/100 = 0.042. Next, we divide the part (72) by the decimal: 72/0.042 = 1714.2857 (There are those pesky fractions).

Now, if 1714 and some change are whole numbers, then 1.7% of that should roughly come to the 23 points we got from the Dreamwalker Boots.

1714/0.017 = 24.089 (a tiny bit more if we include the fraction above).

Conclusion

24 is darn close to the 23 we got from the Boots. So, I feel fairly confident that a Dodge point value of 1714 would be equal to 100% Dodge Rate. In which case, you would need 17.14 points in Dodge to equal 1%.

For example, an item with +5% to Dodge would be equivalent to 85.7 points in Dodge. If you are trying to decide between two gears and one has a % bonus, that would be more valuable than any stat value increase up to 86 (85.7, but the fractions would round it up).

Useful info about the game and community hubs where players congregate are available.

There is a guide site (crystalnova.gg) that appears AI-generated, listed below. It has some good info on it that could be useful for new players.

Reddit had two CSN subs, but one got banned, and the other is locked (as of 10/05/26). I’ve tried contacting the Mod in charge but have not received a response.

Discord remains the best place to interact with other players and ask for advice.
